I grew up in Pine Canyon, active in sports, FFA and many other activities. According to Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, safety and security must be met before creativity, problem-solving, or acceptance of facts can take place. This research suggests that before our students can learn, they must be and feel safe. Clint Poole, West Elementary principal highlights some Tooele County School District safety measures.
