I am excited to be the new Principal of Clarke N. Johnsen Jr. High. I have been the Assistant Principal at Stansbury High School for the past 2 years. Previous to that I was a School Counselor, 5th Grade Teacher, and I was a Residential Coordinator in a group home for troubled teens in Brigham City. I graduated from North Summit High School and Utah State University. I have an amazing wife Carlie and our 4 boys Christian 8, Jax 6, Keller 4, and Oakland 2. We recently got a new golden retriever named Chewbacca (Chewy).
I am honored to carry on the great traditions and reputation of CNJJHS. The Jaguars are regarded as one of the best schools in the district and I intend to not only keep it that way but to make improvements as needed. I am a firm believer in doing what is best for students. At the end of the day, what matters is that students feel safe, included and welcome as they are taught academic and life skills. I believe that to truly influence those around you a relationship of trust and respect has to be established.
It is my privilege to be the new principal and I look forward to meeting and working with the students, parents, and teachers of Clarke N. Johnsen Junior High School
